If you have never bought your Senior Pass for free access to National Parks and other discounts with the USFS and BLM, you should do it soon. At $10 for a lifetime pass it is the best deal around, but starting October 1, it will cost you $80. You have to be 62 years old to buy the pass.

The Rocky Mountaineers Are
Heading to France in April 2018

How would you like to spend springtime in France next year?  If you have never been on a river cruise, they are very relaxing and informal.

We have finalized the dates and prices for the Rocky Mountaineers river cruise in France in 2018.  The main trip is April 26 - May 8, 2018.  This trip will run south to north, beginning in Nice and ending in Paris.

Cheyenne Lunch

The Southern Wyoming/Northern Colorado group of the Rocky Mountaineers met for lunch in Cheyenne on June 7. We had 24 members attend, and for some, it was their first lunch with the group.

Steve Currey organized the lunch and gave a short talk on the history of Cheyenne.  Frank Romero, Laramie District Ranger gave an update on some of the activities on the district and forest.

Jerry Schmidt was carded by our waitress to make sure he had his ID before he could buy a beer.

Everyone had a great time visiting and swapping stories.

Our next lunch will be in Ft. Collins probably in September.

Helpful Hints to Pay by Credit Card and Check

If you are paying by check -

Click the link on our home page "Pay your dues...."

On the first page, fill in your name, email address and check the box for your dues. For a donation, put the dollar amount in the appropriate box (this is important). Click the "check" box. This page is not set up to be printed.

Then click "Next". This will send you to a page with our mailing address and thank you note. This will also generate an email to you that is similar to an invoice. Print this invoice and include it with your check. Keep a copy for your tax records.

If you do not click the "Next" button, no email is generated. If you are making a donation, I have no way of knowing which fund that you would like to donate to.

If all of this is too much trouble for you and you don't need a receipt, you can always just mail a check with a note enclosed.

If you are paying by credit card -

Follow the directions above, but when you click on the "Next" button you will be sent to a page that says "Continue". Clicking on this button will take you to the PayPal website and says "PayPal Checkout".

Click this button and you will have the choice of paying with PayPal (if you have an account) or click on the button below "Pay with debit or credit card". This will send you to the page to enter your credit card information.

Paying with a credit card has proven to be very popular with our members. It is quick and easy and secure.

This website is a roadmap of how you can participate in this association, dedicated to helping others and keeping Rocky Mountain retirees involved, inspired and aware. Join today and make this your association. Your ideas and thoughts are always appreciated.

Our goal is not to replace any current retirees group in the region. We are an entity of our own with a mission to help when needed through coordinating volunteers and to inform our members, and others, of opportunities we support. The Activities Calendar page will be devoted to this association's on-goings as well as other meetings and activities from local groups. We would like to offer one stop shopping for meeting and other activity awareness.
