Sunlight Ski DayThe Western Slope Chapter of the Rocky Mountaineers welcomes you all to the Sunlight Ski Area to enjoy the “slower slide and soak- side” Wednesday February 12, 2025 Ski Day! We will enjoy the World-famous Glenwood Hot Springs pool after skiing and after the fun deck time. https://sunlightmtn.com Meet on the Sunlight Base area deck at 9 - 9:30. We ski then have lunch on the deck and enjoy happy hour after skiing. Then we will head to the world-famous Glenwood Hot Springs! Sunlight has tier discount tickets available for those without INDY or GEMS passes and Martha Moran will assist you securing discount tickets on the Deck. We plan on a hot springs soak after at Glenwood Hot Springs pools as well. We will carry on the fun the next day at Snowmass for the IKON pass holders and beyond. In case of inclement weather, we will plan on a fun spring day in April instead. Ski Ya there!!

PSICC - October 11, 2024
The PSICC 19th Annual Adobe Cup was played October 11 at The Meadows Golf Course in Littleton CO. Four teams participated for the coveted trophy. The South Platte Team birdied the last hole to win by one stroke over the Retired Ranger Team. A great time was had by all who participated. Click the pic to enlarge.

We are very pleased to share with you the Museum’s Ranger Roll Call Interim Report & Challenge for Region 2 (click). The report includes the names of the rangers since 1905 (sometimes earlier) for these eight national forest/grassland units: Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland; Bighorn National Forest; Black Hills National Forest; Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests; Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland; Nebraska National Forest and Grasslands; Pike and San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands; and the White River National Forest. This would not have been possible without the invaluable assistance provided by Museum volunteers (many USFS R-2 retirees), some of you personally, and many of your employees. These individuals are recognized on page 3 of the report.
We welcome your review of the report for any additions or corrections to the ranger records. Further, we would appreciate your assistance with creating supervisor lists for these same units and with creating both ranger and supervisor lists for the Rio Grande, and San Juan.
